"Wetland Beauty"
Photographer: M Anderson
"In this mural, found in Ellerslie, Paul Walsh celebrates the flora that can be found in the wetlands around our country. New Zealand wetlands have been seriously eroded over the years, drained for 'better use' as pasture land, commercial and housing developments, yet they are important ecological environments that support an abundance of native flora and fauna. Paul has done a wonderful job featuring some important species such as the Red Admiral butterfly, Ti Kouka (cabbage tree), Raup? and Swamp Sun Orchid."
