Dion Hitchens

A Chinese Maori artist Dion Hitchens is well known for his culturally influenced artworks. A graduate of the Elam School of Fine Arts his work is found in public outdoor collections of the Auckland and Hamilton city councils as well as at Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand. Along with artists James Ormsby abd Bill Riley, Dion organised the SEEK project at the Mangere Arts Centre where visitors could donate winter clothes and shoes in exchange for an original artwork.
