Benjamin Work

Images from Tongan history shine through in the large scale murals of Benjamin Work. Of Tongan and Scottish heritage Benjamin grew up in the Eastern suburbs of Auckland but his art work has seen him exhibit around the world from Mexico to Australia, from the Mangere Art Centre to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New Your City, and of course to Tonga the creative source of his artistry. Working mostly in the traditional colours of red and black his murals in the back streets of Auckland are highly distinctive and easily recognisable by their style as the work of Benjamin.
