Askew One

An early proponent of the Auckland graffiti scene Askew One (Elliot O'Donnell) is a self taught artist, author and organiser of Auckland's first graffiti festival. In 2007 O'Donnell wrote In/Form, a highly illustrated book which investigates the development of graffiti art in New Zealand and showcases 15 of the most influential and innovative graffiti artists. Known internationally his recent efforts focus on studio work and large scale outdoor murals, starting from around 2010 Askew One changed the style of his city graffiti work into large scale text and portrait based murals. O'Donnell continues to participate in local graffiti festivals with his murals seen on walls throughout New Zealand.
